About Me

Haylie Lafrance, LOTR
Hi, I’m Haylie Lafrance — a St. Bernard Parish native, occupational therapist, and mom with a deep passion for supporting women, babies, and families.
I’ve been practicing occupational therapy for over eight years, beginning my career in inpatient rehabilitation, where I developed a deep appreciation for the body’s resilience and the power of compassionate, functional care. I earned my Bachelor’s degree in Kinesiology from LSU in Baton Rouge and my Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy from LSU Health Sciences Center in New Orleans, both of which shaped the foundation of how I approach movement, recovery, and whole-body health.
My path into pelvic health became personal during my own pregnancy after experiencing infertility. Once I was finally pregnant, I found myself overwhelmed by fear-based messaging around pregnancy and exercise. Wanting clarity and confidence—not confusion—I began learning everything I could. What started as a desire to better understand my own body quickly grew into a passion to help other women feel informed, supported, and empowered during pregnancy and postpartum.
Over the past several years, I have immersed myself in continuing education through courses, workshops, and self-study in pelvic health. That passion led to the creation of Down South Pelvic Health, where I had the privilege of supporting women through some of the most vulnerable and transformative seasons of their lives.
As I expanded my work into pediatrics, something important became clear. While caring for babies and children, I found myself constantly coming back to their moms—because a baby’s ability to feel safe, regulated, and supported is deeply connected to how supported their mother feels.
That realization is what brought Lafrance Pediatrics & Pelvic Health, LLC to life.
Today, I offer care that honors the connection between caregiver and child, blending pediatric occupational therapy and pelvic health to support families as a whole. My goal is to provide a space where education feels empowering, care feels personal, and families feel truly supported every step of the way.
